Drying of the pistachio tree occurs when the general principles are not observed. The natural lifespan of the pistachio tree is more than three hundred years, to some extent observed in this area, especially in the old Tajabad of Rafsanjan, whose date is almost known.

Although the cause of tree drying is different due to the difference of lands, they can be summarized in two ways:
Trees that are damaged by waterlogging or hardness of the ground or the intensity of fertilizer, from the day the effect appears due to the weakness and strength of the damaged tree ,Pistachio tree drying can be prevented for up to ten days.
Otherwise, there is no cure and the sign is that suddenly the leaves of the tree start to turn yellow from the top of the tree and immediately after, the effects of drying of the pistachio tree appear on the branches, without observing the effect of sap on the branches or roots of the tree. And apparently the root of the tree looks healthy.
How to prevent
As soon as these effects appear on a tree, the soil around the trunk of the tree should be removed immediately in proportion to its diameter from 50 to 125 cm wide to the roots so that the shovel does not hit the roots.
And after two or three days of airing, they should pour tasteless sweet soil instead and give one or two water to the tree at a short distance, and whenever they know that all the gardens are damaged, They water one after the other and if it is limited to a few trees, they water the same part.
Drying of pistachio tree from the root, which in scientific terms is called disease (gum), although apparently produced due to germs, but there are many reasons that the tree becomes susceptible to this pest.
The reason for the drying of the pistachio tree from the roots in the sandy soils is that the fertilizer is absorbed quickly and the soil becomes powerless again, that is, once the tree becomes strong and hot due to its strength, and once the tree becomes powerless. The result is never balanced, especially when both sides of the tree are not open and fertilizer is poured close to the tree stump.
Therefore, in such lands, both sides of the tree must be spaced so that water and moisture do not reach the roots, and spicy fertilizers such as heme (sheep poison) should be avoided separately.
They should always gradually add a little bit of chemical fertilizers made of calcareous materials to the sandy soils with the help of Kalateh soil, vegetable fertilizers, fish and a little dandruff and phosphorous chemical fertilizers.
